Nanna Skodborg Merrald
I started riding at a very early age, as I have always lived at the riding center Lykkesholm, which my parents have owned since 1991. Here I have lived with my mother and father, sister and brother. I live with my boyfriend Christian Springborg in an apartment that belongs to the farm.

The pony that was the starting shot for my riding career is Centrum, which my then trainer Rune Willum found for us. With Centrum I won Danish championships, Nordic championships and became No. 4 individually for the European Championships. When I still had 2 pony years left, we acquired Millibar, who was something of a street boy. After having had Millibar for half a year, I changed coach to Michael Sogaard, which suited me really well at the time.

Millibar took a big leap when, after 9th grade, I took a sabbatical year and worked in Hillerod with Michael. It was a great opportunity that Michael gave me. I rode about 8 horses every day and it gave an incredible amount to be allowed to ride so many different horses. With in Hillerod I had Millibar and the Norwegian stallion JJ Rocco, which I borrowed from the breeders JJ Horses.

After my sabbatical year, I started in high school, which I took on a Team Denmark scheme that ran over 4 years. In the summer of 2014, I became a student. Now I study to be a bioanalyst, which involves a lot of reading and school a couple of times a week. In addition, I have to regularly stay for extended internships. Next to the training I ride between 4-7 horses. In addition to my own riding, I teach some of the housed riders at Lykkesholm Riding Center and a few from outside.
